OVERVIEW
The WILMA Jumper is a chunky sweater, knit in a textured half-brioche pattern with a wide neckline. The wide body and sleeve hems in smooth half-brioche stitch are a highlight of this simple design.
This piece is worked using a technique known as “raglan from the top” (aka RVO in German), with brioche increases.
You will cast on stitches for the neckline on a circular needle with the help of a crochet hook. This method produces a beautiful, simple, and particularly stable edge.
After the cast-on, you will work your sweater entirely in the round, with raglan increases for the yoke.
Once the increases are finished, you will divide the stitches for the body and the sleeves, then work the body in one piece to the end.
Finally, you will work the sleeves from the stitches you had left on hold and work them in the round to the cuffs.
The body and sleeves are finished in smooth half-brioche stitch.

KNITTING GAUGE
In half-brioche stitch, holding 3 strands together
On 10 mm needles, or needle size to match the gauge (if you knit rather loosely, choose needles that are 1 mm smaller for all specified needle sizes when making your sample. Wash and block before measuring, and make sure the half brioche retains its tension, otherwise the sweater could stretch too much!):
Body: 9 sts x 10 brioche rounds (=20 rounds) = 10 x 10 cm
Sleeves: 10 sts x 9 brioche rounds (=18 rounds) = 10 x 10 cm
YARN REQUIREMENTS
1 strands of “Amira” 100m/50g, 93% cotton, 7% polyamide) in Light Pink 009 from Lang Yarns
together with
2 strands of „Mohair Luxe“ (175m/25g, 77% mohair, 23% silk) in Baby Pink 148 from Lang Yarns
