DESCRIPTION

The JUNA jumper is a boxy sweater worked top-down, in rows and in the round, with short rows shaping.

You’ll start working the high collar in the round, then divide the stitches and work the back first by casting on new stitches for the shoulders with a backward loop cast-on. You’ll work the slope of the shoulders and back of the yoke back and forth with short rows, then work to the length of the armholes. You’ll then pick up the stitches for the front over the shoulders and join them to the neck stitches that were on hold. You will also work short rows over the front yoke.

Both parts are then joined together again under the armholes and worked together to the bottom. A few short rows on the back will give your sweater some extra length to the back before you cast off all stitches.

You will pick up stitches for the sleeves around the armholes, and work them straight, in the round. Since you are working top-down, you will be able to easily adapt all lengths to your personal taste.

The short, wide fit is ideal to wear with skirts or jeans, and the longer collar and extra-long sleeves can easily  be rolled up to give your jumper a different look. While the body is wide, the sleeves are rather narrow in comparison, so they will also fit comfortably when worn under a parka.

The order and number of turning stitches for the short rows for the front and back are each sketched separately in a detailed graphic.

The instructions  contain a detailed model sketch with all dimensions, as well as a blank sketch for notes and conversions.
