The FEIYA V Cardigan is worked top-down, in stocking stitch, and in one piece. You will not need to sew or assemble the pieces together at the end.
You’ll start with the back neck panel, then pick up stitches for the back piece from the long side of the panel and work the back piece in back and forth to the depth of the armholes, with regular increases.
You’ll work each of the front pieces separately, from stitches picked up on the back piece. The stitches from the back neck panel will be integrated into the front piece for the front neckline. You will then shape the V-neck with regular increases on each of the front parts.
You will join the front and back pieces under the armhole and work the body in one piece to the end.
The sleeves are worked in the round, from stitches picked up around the armhole, and finished with a decorative 2 x 2 rib cuff.
Working top-down means that all the lengths can be adjusted. Make sure you adjust your yarn needs accordingly.
