ISA Cardigan (en)

The ISA Cardigan is a simple, short cardigan with a deep raglan line and wide balloon sleeves.

The decorative I-cord finishes underline the minimalist look of the cardigan. The wide raglan lines on the back are particularly eye-catching.

PATTERN DESCRIPTION

The ISA cardigan is knitted using a beginner-friendly method known as “raglan from the top” (aka RVO in German).

You will first work the back panel, then pick up stitches from the long side of the panel for the raglan yoke. You will then work increases along the raglan lines. For the larger sizes, double increases are worked on the body at the end of the raglan yoke.

After you’ve worked the raglan for the yoke, you will divide the stitches for the sleeves and the body pieces.

You will then finish the body in back-and-forth, and the sleeves in the round.

You will bind off all hems with an I-cord.

Fit 3 of 5

Difficulty 2 of 5

In addition to the sketch in the appendix, you will receive separate tables for each size, with the numbers of yoke increases. You can check and tick off your increases round by round on the grid.

You will find video tutorials linked directly in each section. You can also find all the videos in this pattern at:
