DESCRIPTION

The KIM V-Neck Jumper is a casual sweater with a V-neck and integrated sleeves, meaning the sleeves are worked directly as an extension of the back and front parts.

You will work short rows over the shoulders and part of the sleeves, for a comfortable, great-looking fit that also gives this sweater its distinctive shape.

You’ll first work a neckband for the back and leave those stitches on hold. You will then cast on the back part and pick up sts on the length of the neckband. After shaping the shoulders, you’ll work the back piece straight down to the armholes.

Next, you’ll cast on the left and right front parts separately, joining stiches to each side of the neckband, and work some more short rows. You’ll also work increases for the V-neck and join the front parts under the finished neckline. You’ll then work the front piece straight down to the armholes.

The sleeves are seamed using the mattress stitch, and then the body is worked in the round with a few decreases under the arm for a finer fit. The hem is finished with an I-Cord. Thanks to special edge stitches, the edges at the sleeves and on the V-neck do not require an I-cord border.

The instructions are written out row by row.
