SORA Blouse (en)

The SORA blouse is a short, airy summer blouse with a saddle shoulder.

Sophisticated, feminine, casual and oversized is probably the best way to describe the design. The short cut fits perfectly over dresses, with fitted skirts or high trousers.

PATTERN DESCRIPTION

The SORA Blouse is a simple and airy summer blouse with a decorative saddle shoulder, worked top-down.

The cropped length looks perfect worn with high waisted trousers and skirts or over dresses.

First, you will form the front neckline with short rows and at the same time increases are worked along the saddle shoulder. Then it is worked exclusively in rounds with further increases, first for the saddle shoulder, then for the sleeves and finally for the sleeves and the torso.

After you finish working the yoke, you’ll divide stitches under the arm for the sleeves and the body. You’ll work the body first, then each of the sleeves, in the round.

You will bind off all stitches with I-cords.

In addition to the pattern, separate help charts are available for the increases in the yoke for each size.

You can check and tick off your increases round by round on the grid.

You will find video tutorials linked directly in each section. You can also find all the videos in this pattern at www.lotilda.de/sora-blouse-video-tutorials

PATTERN and KNITTING GAUGE

In Stocking St, in the round, with 2 threads of “Pearl Mohair” (210m/25g) from Majo held together, on 7 mm needles, or needle size to meet the gauge: (if you knit very loosely, then go down a needle size for all of the needle sizes):

14 stitches x 18 rounds = 10 x 10 cm

Tip for simulating the gauge in the round:

Usually, purl rows are worked a little more loosely, so you can use a smaller needle size for the back rows on your sample (here, for example, use a 6.5 mm needle).
