COMPOSITION
This mohair shirt is knit seamless top down. The stitches for the shoulders and sleeves are picked up with the provisional cast on method, while the stitches for the neck opening are picked up in one piece with the long tail cast on method and are closed to the round afterwards. For further information, check the illustrated approach in the attachment.
Once, the body’s back and front are knit, you will close the sleeve seams with the Kitchener stitch for invisible seams.
The shoulders and the wide neck opening are shaped with short rows, while the curves under the armhole opening are shaped with decreases.
The body’s lower part is straight-cut with a short „rib“, knit in stockinette brioche, so that the edge doesn’t curl.
You can knit the shirt in different colour combinations. Below, you can find a chart regarding the amount of wool needed for each version: single- coloured, 2- coloured mix, 3- coloured mix with a colour change at the lower body or with stripes.

WOOL
Lang Yarns „Mohair Luxe“: 175m/25g, RRP 9, 95 €, 77% mohair, 23% silk
Important tip, when you do not knit with a mohair yarn:
When knitting with the original yarn and the given needle size, the neck opening gets even wider when wearing the shirt. This is a known and intended design element and prevents the curling of the upper neck opening edge.
If you knit with a different – not mohair – yarn, it might be possible that the neck opening edge curls!
